Right from the beginning, Setu Prakashani has dedicated itself to advancing various aspects of Social Science studies. Its key focus areas include history, politics, environmental studies, gender studies, and human rights. Over its two-decade-long journey, the publishing house has made notable contributions to the realm of social science, inspiring readers across the globe to think critically.
Setu is a sanskritised word which implies bridge. It cherishes to bridge the gap across cultures and raise its voice in favour of a vibrant society.
Its publications are mainly in English and Bengali, though it also brings out Hindi titles.
