Uma Chakrabvarti

Uma Chakravarti taught for many years at Miranda House College under the University of Delhi. Ancient India has been both the focus of her research and a subject of deep personal interest to her. Some of her selected books include Delhi Riots: Three Days in the Life of a Nation (joint editor, 1987), The Social Dimensions of Early Buddhism (1987), and Gendering Caste: Through a Feminist Lens (2003).
